I was referred here to address some recent cervical pain and vertigo. Unfortunately, when you don't go by a name referral and you get stuck in the allopathic medical care maze, WHO you get is completely a crapshoot. The dr. randomly assigned to me failed to listen to me, talked over me, and then referred me to a physical therapist for vestibular vertigo, which I told him was not helpful in the past. He then claimed he "believed" in chiropractic (which has been very helpful for me for the last 25 years, until recently) and proceeded to arrogantly claim they had less education. I couldn't get a word in edgewise to correct him that the only thing that is different is that Chiropractic students don't study pharmacology or pathology -- which they don't need. Just because you call yourself "Dr." doesn't mean you know everything.
I was quite anxious when I saw Dr. Robertson. He was pleasant and accommodating. He knew that I was anxious being inside the clinic. He did answer all of my questions and did order reasonable tests. I also met neurologist specialist (forget his name). He was friendly and agreed on the tests I am supposed to get. Overall, it was a great experience. One thing I need to mention, when the lab tech did draw blood, she did not wipe my arm (ac) with alcohol before she poke the needle. But she did great. Poke once and no pain at all!
I have been receiving treatment through occupational therapy for the last year. Having TBI can be challenging when entering businesses that can be rather busy and chaotic, the minute I pulled up to the neuroscience building the parking was easy stressless and calming.
