The lady working there was soo rude, in more ways than one! also when the service was going on they let people walk in and out of the funeral home. The equipment was very out-of-date and did not work well. witch when we called they said otherwise. we had to find out 15 mins before the service started.
when the service was over they rushed everyone out the door. we ate 2 blocks away and they had the nerve to come and eat the food!?!? I've never in my life seen that. my aunt inquired about some missing flowers and the lady said that she would be back there in a couple of hours because she had things to do!? mind you she was only two blocks away from the funeral home. she was just sitting there talking and eating our food. but was somehow to busy to go check on our flowers. I have never seem such unprofessionalism disrespect and tackiness on a already heartbreaking occasion.
Not a good place for a service they allowd people to walk in and out of the funeral home as the service was going on. It was very distracting. Then when the service was over they rushed everyone out of the building. Not very friendly people that work there.
I was recently there assisting a very close family friend make arrangements for her son. The people there were very friendly and professional. They were very comforting and knowledgeable about the less stress ways to have things done. Margaret Brooks helped make the decisions less confusing and gave my friend some peace.
Very disrespectful to my family. Very unprofessional. Margret Brooks prey on the vonerable, and crackheads that try to plan a funeral. She take advantage of vonerable adults that don't know what they are doing. And make the family pay money out of pocket along with the victim service money. She is a poverty pimp. Giving her a 1 star rating was the only way to post my experience.
Margaret Brooks has to be the most rude and unsympathetic funeral director or owner I've ever encountered. I spoke with her to plan the services for my loved one and just from the conversation I decided to go else where. Her people skills leave a lot to be desired. At the very least she needs to learn empathy and compassion and a remedial customer service class wouldn't hurt. You don't treat the deceased like a cash cow. You could also learn how NOT to sound so crude sleazy and classless. You shouldn't get upset with callers when you can't provide a price list. In my opinion things look a bit fishy, like you're trying to get whatever you can from the grieving and that's not a good look.
