When I first got there, I spoke with a woman that allowed me to just lay it all out there. It was the best break through I've ever had! I thank her for that. When it came time for me to see someone on the regular, the guy made me feel like he wasn't really paying attention, he'd ask the same questions, here's one for example: Oh you have a dog, what's his name? "Telephone" Oh that's a rare name for a dog. Yes, I know, you said that same thing last week and the week before. Look at my notes before seeing me. How many times do we have to have this conversation???
Went in and was treated like a drug addict. I just wanted to reach out and they said they were too busy and probably couldn't help me anyway! I was already feeling like no one gave a crap. That rejection hurt.
I've now been to this urgent care going on 3 times this morning (once I make it down there.) They have helped me with everything that I ask them to help me with and even go above and beyond to help me get things faster. They are a quick fix lead you to resources place, not a full time doctor. Maybe the people with such bad reviews didn't understand that or it wasn't the actual help they needed. There is a mobile crisis connection as well as an actual crisis connection phone line. This place IS NOT that.
This place is an embarrassment to mental health care. They are neither crisis friendly or urgent. Avoid at all cost.
By mental health they mean drug addicts. If you are depressed and need urgent care a hospital seems like a much better option.
Called crisis line and got told to call back later. Called a second time and got put on hold. This is a perfect example of everything that is wrong with the system when you force people to jump through hoops that cause the very symptoms they are trying to get help for.
