I left the bank and followed up with customer service by phone. Never mind that each time I called, I would end up spending 2 hours getting passed around from agent to agent.

Such building. Much tall. Very parking.

At the end of it all, I ended up having to file my claim 3 (THREE!) times and call almost daily to follow up. I got really lucky on my third claim, as I actually came across an agent and her supervisor who were willing to act more than just cogs in a wheel. The supervisor reviewed my previous claims and told me that the first 2 claims, one of which was filed by the employee at THIS branch were filed completely wrong, and that is why they got rejected. She worked with me and actually gave me her email address to send in my supporting documents (as opposed to the outdated fax number others kept giving me), and made sure it all got to the right person.

I went inside the bank the following day for further assistance, and instead, I was blown off and told there is nothing they can do, and that I need to contact the disputes branch myself. It seemed I was an inconvenience for them by creating extra work. They also told me that they never came across any overages at their ATM machine, suggesting that I was either lying, or the money had somehow disappeared.

If you go there at the right time the line is short. Other times (like Fridays) its very long. The service is friendly and nice.

It took me a whole month to get my $500 back after the ATM machine ate it, and the treatment I received from the staff at this branch alone was enough reason for me to know I need to move my money elsewhere.

You really get to know how good or horrible a bank's customer service/care is when you run into technical problems. Exactly 1 month ago the ATM Machine at this location ate my money during a deposit, and printed an error receipt. I went inside the branch to get some help, and they told me they will have to file a claim which would take a 10 day process. I accepted, and filed the claim. Sure enough, 10 days later, I received a letter that my claim was rejected.
