This downtown bank doesn't have the first clue when it comes to customer service.
I told her to call a supervisor. After I got pretty irate... he suggested I take the check to my own bank - US Bank.
The idiot who could not verify my check had me waiting for half an hour in line, pretends to be busy talking to people who are waiting for other customers to bank. Yet he has the balls to reject verification/cash check because I have a yellow paper for a lost state issued id paperwork, and TWO valid id's to back that up. What an idiot
She directed me to one of the bankers who was sitting at a desk. This banker promptly approved the transaction... and then sent me back to wait in line.
What? The line I already waited in for 25 minutes? I don't think so.
Friendly staff, but shabby unprofessional environment. We came to inquire about joining the bank, but the whole experience felt like the McDonalds of the banking world. After the Well's Fargo account scandal, they really didn't do much to disprove the feeling that they are a low class bank. Give them a wide berth. Wings credit union is a great alternative.
I stood in the teller line for 25 minutes. When I got to the teller I presented a check that I wanted to cash. A check that was drawn on this bank. The teller told me she couldn't help me because I didn't have an account with the bank.
Nice and helpful staffs. It is a bit confusing to find the bank at first though, but there is a reception desk a bit deeper inside to help the lost people like me.
Friendly folks and a great location. It would be nice if they were open longer hours for people who live here rather than working here. Foreign currency exchange is nice, but only one teller can do it and you have to wait in the same line, which gets awkward when you're at the front of the line but still have to wait.
After another ten minutes waiting for him to finish... I got what I came for.
Boy oh boy... the banking world has really gone to hell. But it seems that Wells Fargo beats out everyone else for worst customer service!!
When I reminded him that the check was drawn on his bank... and that I was currently standing right there in the branch lobby... talking to a senior banker (him)... he decided it was probably best to just cash the check for me himself.
Wow. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
