Worst haircut ever! Allen doesn't want to hear how you want your hair cut. He wants you to sit in the chair and let him cut it however he wants. I should have walked out. He is rude and arrogant. Hate my haircut!
He's cut mine while is was both long and short and it always turns out great. Plus he's just a nice guy. Cash only, but there's a wells Fargo across the street.
Will definitely continue going to Allen for as long as I'm in the area and he's cutting hair!
I found Allen via a google search when I moved into the St Paul area a couple years ago. Even when I moved away to another city in MN I made I kept on going to Allen. Now I live in South Florida and I still try to schedule my haircuts so that when I come back to Minnesota I can pay a visit to his salon. I don't know else to put it: he simply does a very good haircut at a reasonable price. I would recommend him to anyone.

As a guy with long hair, I went here to get my hair cut just for a change of pace and I heard good things about the place. Haircut turned out great, no complaints there. Unfortunately, after leaving a 20% tip and heading for the for, Allen says "Yea you look good now, you don't look like a girl anymore". So sadly, I'll have to pass on coming here again. As a customer, I'm not into being insulted for no reason, and I found it pretty shocking to hear this coming from a hairdresser of all people.
Check your gender norms Allen. I paid you for a haircut, not for crappy comments on how I dress myself.
Stopped by Allen's randomly before a move to NY. Showed him two professional hairstyle sample photos my girlfriend texted me and he delivered. He is talented and honest and I wish I had found him sooner. Great style at a good price. I recommend giving him a try.
His cuts have always been on point and quick and even at a great price for the quality of cut you're getting. He even for me in during my lunch break same day.
