Nice, older theater, with all the good and bad things that entails. Nice stage, good views from the main floor, but sightlines from the first balcony are only okay - I couldn't see the top of the stage backdrop, and there are pillars partially blocking views from some seats - and seats are tight. I'm only 6'2", and my knees were pressed against the seat in front of me.
Beautiful space, not a bad seat in the house because of the design. Being in the first balcony is nice for short folks as it's not too high up and you can see the stage well. The stage is some what raised from the main floor so if you're short you have to look up slightly.
Place is cramped so come earlier if you want time to get comfortable. Avoid top balcony or back section of any balcony. When you get a good seat, its great so buy tickets early.

All in all, a nice place to see a show, but stay away from the balconies (at least the first balcony).
A beautiful old restored St. Paul theater. The two shows I've seen there were huge fun! Great sound quality, two balconies, about a thousand seats total, eight beautiful box seat areas (some have 4 chairs, others have 2), and a few seats in the back of the main floor for accessibility. Very steep ramp at top of the main floor aisles. Terrific, very helpful staff, always looking for ways to make guests' experience enjoyable and memorable. As a historic theater, bathrooms are limited and small. One handicap accessible bathroom is available on the first floor (strictly for people needing to avoid stairs). Although most seats are great, if the tickets page on the website tells you they are obstructed views, believe it. Good access to the bars for drinks. Big parking garage closely located around the corner.
