Sadly ,Google has not updated the reviews on this place since it changed owners several years ago. There are several places in the area that offer solid breakfast and lunch fare. This is one of them. If you show up at busy time, don't be surprised if you have to wait . Huge portions. Great neighborhood feel
Wonderful! I miss the whimsical name of "The Copper Dome", but the Randolph Griddle delivers solidly on delicious food, generous portions, comfortable environment, and friendly staff. We had a party of 8 for a Sunday Brunch and couldn't ask for a better time. The beignets were a big hit!
My only qualm is the only way to contact Tom to set things up was to call the restaurant phone number and hope he was in that day (no email, no cell, no voicemail). I would recommend it! All our family had a great time.
Formerly the Copper Dome, this place has been warmed over since the new owners took it on. But today we had a disappointing visit. There were only a few customers in the place, but it took 10 minutes to get seated. Another 20 minutes to get our orders taken. One waitress on duty in no particular hurry. Food arrived about 15 minutes later, and it was nothing great. My breakfast burrito (served with 12 tiny potato "rounds") was good, but my wife's potato pancakes were a soggy disappointment. The place was cold as if the heat was off. The host has a habit of seating customers right next to you even though the place is empty. I never will understand that. The bathrooms were dirty and look untouched for at least 25 years. We were regular patrons when it was the Copper Dome, but we won't be back to the Randolph Griddle. Two stars only because the burrito was good and the coffee hot.
Excellent service and very tasty breakfast. I would recommend and will go again in the future.
Wonderful food and fantastic service. The french toast were humongous and so fluffy! The mini doughnuts they serve the table are hot and fresh and way better than any I've ever had. And the Cajun skillet was sooooo good.
We also used Randolph Griddle to host a post-wedding brunch for approximately 30 people. Tom was great about putting together a limited menu to make sure they could serve our party well. Food was excellent, price was reasonable.
