I just recently held my wedding reception at Vieux Carre and everything was absolutely amazing. Joe and Jeff took care of every detail and they even created a specialty cocktail for us that was perfect. I would definitely recommend booking a private event with them. I didn't have a chance to eat, but all my guests said the food was spectacular :)
Simply wonderful night out at Vieux Carre to celebrate our anniversary. I had crab cakes, and husband had gumbo. Both had incredible flavors. Desserts were the bread pudding and ice box cake. Again, the flavors were superb. I don't have words to say how great the live performer was! Service was perfect in every way. Highly recommend this amazing place. (You can even pretend you're in a big city like Chicago--this place feels like that but low-key. Lucky us!)
I think Dakota Jazz is better stage for music. Drinks were ok and had bad phone service and sketchy entrance along with service.
Live music is good for your soul. Friendly service. Food is good. I have a cod po' boy sandwich and my husband had the crab cakes. Both were tasty. Small, intimate space to hear jazz. I never know where to park my car in St. Paul. I usually park along the Green Line for free. This time, I parked at a meter--$10 for 4 hours.
This venue has beautiful cocktails. Certainly pricey, but honestly it's worth it. The waitstaff is incredibly kind and personable. They always have really great music. What's not to love?
