I bought a rabbit from this store and since I've had her all she does is bite. I have another rabbit which is calm and relaxed. I've tried everything to socialize her but nothing works. I'm ready to take her back for real. I never had this problem with any of my rabbits. She's a cutie but we can't have her if she continues to bite everyone. Plus when I bought her they told me her nail trims would be free because I bought her from there but I've always paid for it. Don't tell me one thing and when I come in I have to pay.
I would definitely recommend this store for any person wanting a pet. Everything is clean, organized, and excellent housekeeping. A puppy went to the bathroom in it's kennel and was cleaned up in less than a minute. Also floors were constantly being washed. All animals were well fed, healthy, and well cared for. Fantastic service and fantastic place! Thank you John
2016: I approached a girl probably 18 or 19 and asked if I could see a dog I was interested in, all while having eye contact she completely ignores me and walks away to the cashier and tells her to get me a dog. She then just stands there at the register on her phone! Rude ass employees! All of them have attitudes and give you a dirty look when you ask a simple question like the price of the pup.
I only go here for crickets (which theyve been out off for a few months now) and to see Pepe. I heard this place gets their pups from puppy mills, but they reassure folks they don't. I've noticed a few pups having diarrhea and reported it to staff, along with Pepe having dried blood on his wing. They got a lot of "pretty girl" high schoolers working there who know nothing about their job, literally had to show them how to do things. Manager is never on duty and I've left my name and number for them and never get a call.
I've been with Petland for over a decade both as an employee and as a customer and just like any other place in certain things need slight Improvement but we're always trying we're always changing we're always trying to do better and we definitely care about animals. The owner of Vanessa wears her heart on her sleeve and will talk to any of you if you had questions about what we do she's fanatical about making sure animals come from good places and are going to be going to good places and have a good home. Yes we've had a couple bad employees and not the best customer service sometimes but can you really judge a business based on a couple bad employees? Most of these reviews are people that have never even stepped foot in the store and they should not even be considered as a real review or credible. I would urge any of you with legitimate questions or concerns to call and set up an appointment with Vanessa who are promise you will meet with you instead of being a typewriter tough guy instead of writing reviews based on opinion rather than fact.
