When you're in the upper deck, you'll notice two things that set this arena apart. First, the concourse is above your seats unlike most arenas where you keep climbing up from the concourse. I find this to be much more convenient that climbing up 30 rows from the concourse. Also, I love the fact that many of the upper deck seats have a rail in front of them. This gives you less of the "I'm gonna fall out feeling". I think it also provides more leg room.
This building is awesome, except for the door security, she was an absolute hassle, we couldn't figure out why the metal detector wouldn't allow me in and had a wand and said she could not use it, only took us 10 minutes and half stripped down to pass through. Anyhow, back to this building being awesome, pretty much clear vision from everywhere, great walking site before a show and not too full yet, food and drink is highly over priced, so eat and drink before you get there cause the bathrooms are free. Thanks for hosting a great show!
I recently attended a Wild game with a good friend of mine who's in a wheelchair. I have to say that the accessibility services at the X were outstanding. It was a relative breeze getting through security, staff were super helpful in aiding us to find what we were looking for, and the wait staff on the club level at our handicap-accessible seating were world class. They greeted us right away after we got situated, took our food and drink order right then and there, and delivered our food to us. Fantastic service!
Great arena for hockey!
I have been here twice in 2017, once for Tool and once for A Perfect Circle. Seating isn't bad. Sound is great. These are 2 bands that sound quality is very important for a great experience. It's usually fast to get in. You do have to go through a metal detector and no pat down. It's worth the time to make sure everyone is safe. Staff is always nice if you have questions. The only issue I have is the drink prices. I know it's an event and stuff costs more but maybe $8, instead of$11 would be great.
We love going to Wild games at the X. This facility is a top-rate arena. Some good options for food (obviously for an arena). Concourses can of course be crowded but being that they are split it up between the levels it's much more reasonable. Even the upper deck concourse is very nice and well stocked.
I've now seen a hockey game & two concerts here. I've not had a single complaint yet. The views are excellent every single time. The floor is large enough for a big stage with plenty of room for performers. Definitely a quality venue for major acts to perform at.
I also feel that you have a pretty good view of the ice no matter where you sit at the X. I've been in the lower bowl, club level, and the upper deck and it always seems that you can see the action.
