I've purchased bikes here and had multiple pairs of skis worked on and everything has always been top notch. Great customer service each time.
cons: location is a real pain to get to
pros: great selection of bikes - truly best selection in town if you are not partial to one brand-name. I also witnessed the manager giving feedback to a brand new employee in a very positive manner - when I asked about the difference between two products, the answer was a pretty stupid "the size" and the manager was clearly a bit chagrined, but handled it really well, and gave feedback in a helpful, something to learn manner. awesomeness.
I was biking with my 6-year old and got a flat tire about 6 blocks from Eriks. I'm an avid year-round biker and have had a fair share of flat tires and have never been to a bike shop that would leave me stranded. They told me I would have to wait 3 hours for help. Luckily I had my own tools and tube so I was able to change it myself and borrow their pump. I would much rather support local bike shops that really care about bikers.
I'm a pretty conservative spender - when I took my bike to the Highland Erik's for repairs and asked for only the bare necessities, they clearly laid out what was needed and what was highly suggested for the fix. Most of the staff seems friendly.
